Dr. Haluck is Chief of the Division of Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery and the Vice Chair for Technology and Innovation, Department of Surgery. He received his MD from Penn State College of Medicine in 1991, and his fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in 1998.
Dr. Lyn-Sue specializes in surgical weight loss. He received his fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital (Maryland) in 2008.
Eric M. Pauli, MD
Dr. Pauli attended Penn State College of Medicine. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Hershey Medical Center. He received his fellowship in Laparoendoscopic Surgery at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in 2012.
Dr. Rogers attended Cornell University and Cornell University Medical College. She completed an internship and residency at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City, where she was later named director of the general surgery residency program. She spent an additional year in fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at the Hershey Medical Center, and now directs the Surgical Weight Loss Program.
As the team psychologist, Dr. Rigby conducts pre-surgical assessments for bariatric surgery and organ transplant. She provides both individual and group therapy for patients with psychological and medical conditions related to health-compromising behaviors and lifestyle modifications. Areas of expertise include cognitive behavior therapy, eating disorders, behavior change, behavioral medicine, chronic illness, health promotion, pre-surgical assessment, psychological assessment, obesity, weight loss and depression. Dr. Rigby earned her doctorate in psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Penn State University. Dr. Rigby joined the Medical Center in 2008.
Cindy Hipszer, RN, MSN, CNML
Cindy is responsible for the coordination of our surgical weight loss program by serving as a liaison between the bariatric surgical practice and the hospital. She also provides clinical direction to patients in the program in order to ensure optimal bariatric patient outcomes and satisfaction. Cindy obtained her nursing degree from the Lancaster General School of Nursing, her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Slippery Rock University and her Master’s in Nursing Leadership from Drexel University. Cindy worked for over 20 years in the medical intensive/intermediate care units at Hershey Medical Center and joined the bariatric team in 2015.
Janelle McLeod, RD, LDN
As a registered and licensed dietitian, Janelle provides nutritional assessment, education, and counseling to help patients achieve their long-term weight loss goals. She attended the University of Delaware, and holds a B.S. in Human Resources with a double major in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics, a minor in Biology, and a focus in fitness. Janelle completed her dietetic internship at Marywood University. Janelle has been a member of the team since January 2001.
Susan Brennan, RD, LDN
Susan is a registered and licensed dietitian, and is a military veteran with over 20 years of experience in clinical nutrition, food service, disease prevention and health promotion. She enjoys lecturing and providing individual nutrition counseling to meet the varied needs of her clients.
Lisa received her bachelor's degree in Nursing from Brigham Young University and her master's degree in Nursing from Widener University. She is a certified family nurse practitioner, a certified operating room nurse and one of the few certified bariatric nurses in the state of Pennsylvania.
Licensed practical nurse
Patricia Packer, LPN
Patricia is a certified wound care associate and is responsible for triaging new patients and assessing their BMI, current medical history and medications. She also schedules consults for tests requested by physicians and provides patient education to patients. Patty graduated from Harrisburg-Steelton Highspire School of Practical Nursing in August 1977 and has been with the Medical Center since 2012.
Dawn has been with the Medical Center since 1990 and has worked with the Penn State Surgical Weight Loss program since 2003. As the insurance specialist, she’s responsible for obtaining authorizations for patients' operations, as well as psychological service authorizations. She can assist patients as an intermediary with Patient Financial Services.
Medical office assistant
Alison came to Penn State Surgical Weight Loss in June 2014. She brings over 20 years of customer service experience. Alison always greets patients with a smile as she welcomes them into the office for appointments and assists with their scheduling needs. She is also in charge of numerous administrative duties around the office.
