Urology – Patient Education and Resources
Urology support groups
Our support groups for patients and their families provide encouragement and hope for those dealing with urological cancers.
Prostate Cancer Support Group
The support group is open to all men who are newly diagnosed or dealing with recurrent or advanced prostate cancer, along with their spouses, family members, and caretakers. Meetings provide encouragement, hope, education, emotional support, personal interactions, and mentoring of new patients.
Bladder Cancer Support Group
Penn State Cancer Institute's bladder cancer support group meets at the University Conference Center on the Medical Center campus. Breakout sessions led by the medical team, bladder cancer survivors, and caregivers provide information about living with bladder cancer, treatment, the role of a support person, and more. Anyone affected by this disease, including patients, family and friends, is invited to attend.
The Bladder Cancer Support Group meeting scheduled for Saturday, Jan.13th is canceled due to the forecast of inclement weather.
