Penn State Breast Center is a leader in the field of breast imaging and breast cancer diagnosis. Penn State Breast Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and is, designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by ACR. The Center is recognized as a National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) accredited center and is also FDA certified.
The Penn State Breast Center is located in a comfortable and convenient setting, and offers a full-range of services in the same building, from fully digital mammography, breast ultrasounds, MRIs and specialized surgical services.
Penn State Breast Center is an active participant in clinical trials sponsored by the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG)/ American College of Radiology Imaging Network (ACRIN) collaboration and the Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU) Alliance.

Our Breast Surgeons and Radiologists participate as primary investigators and collaborators in many other research endeavors on topics such as: the role of breast density in a woman’s risk of cancer, accuracy of MRI and MRI guided biopsies in diagnosis and radiation safety in mammography.

Penn State Cancer Institute offers the latest radiation and chemotherapies. Advanced radiation techniques for whole and partial breast radiation are available. Breast cancer risk assessment and genetic testing is available for women considered at high-risk of breast cancer because of strong family history or previous biopsy findings.
