Cheryl Tierney-Aves, MD, MPH, is a board-certified behavior and developmental pediatrician who received her medical degree from Tufts University in Medford, Mass., and served her internship and pediatric residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. Dr. Tierney completed fellowships in health services research, as well as developmental and behavioral pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital, earning a Master of Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health. She is an active member of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and sits on the Advocacy Committee. Dr. Tierney-Aves has a passion for disability advocacy and promotes evidence-based interventions for developmental and behavioral disorders.
