He completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Eastern Virginia Graduate Medical School in Norfolk, VA, and initially entered private practice in the Pittsburgh area for 2 years. Dr. McGinn transitioned back to the academic setting and has been on staff at Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center since 2003. Currently an Associate Professor in Surgery, he also serves as the Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Residency Program Director for Penn State, which allows for the combination of his patient care and educational interests. Dr. McGinn’s clinical practice focuses on rhinology and laryngology, but he cares for the breadth of general otolaryngologic illnesses. With the support of a full-time speech pathologist within the Division, he cares for most voice problems, including professional voice.
