At Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, we offer a cutting-edge, high-tech diagnostic and therapeutic sialendoscopy procedure. Sialendoscopy is a same-day (outpatient) minimally invasive procedure performed in the operating room. As the name implies, this is an endoscopic procedure for exploring the main ducts of the salivary glands and treating various conditions. Endoscopy involves tubing with small cameras attached being inserted into the affected area. Sialendoscopy does not involve external skin incisions. The risk for damaging nerves and blood vessels is very minimal.

Our goal is to perform a highly tolerated, safe and relatively short procedure to restore the normal function of the major salivary glands. You can resume normal activity and normal diet shortly following the procedure.
