Our highly trained ultrasound team includes sonographers and board-certified, subspecialty-trained radiologists. We strive to provide the best quality imaging and personal care for each patient. Our services are unique as our radiologists review every study with the sonographer before the patient leaves. This ensures a complete study has been done.
We do routine ultrasound exams of areas such as:
Besides diagnostic studies we have a dedicated area for ultrasound-guided biopsies and other radiology interventions.
A sonographer will take you to the exam room where you will lie on your back. The sonographer will apply warm gel to the area being examined. He or she will move a device called a transducer over the area to create the images.
A typical exam will take about 30 to 45 minutes.
The images are sent to the radiologist who reviews and interprets your study. The report is sent to your referring provider.
